By using Translo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This policy complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies and applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Translation Content: Text you type or speak for translation. This content is transmitted to our translation service provider (Google Translate API) solely to perform the translation you requested.
• Language Preferences: Your selected source and target languages, stored locally on your device.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and general device identifiers, used for compatibility and troubleshooting.
• Microphone Data: When you use Voice Translation or Dialogue features, we access your device microphone to capture speech. Audio is processed locally and/or sent to Google's speech recognition service to convert speech to text. We do not store raw audio recordings.
• Log Information: Anonymous usage events (such as feature usage frequency) may be recorded to help us improve the Application.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide core translation, voice, and dialogue services;
• To store your translation history and bookmarks locally on your device;
• To improve our products, features, and user experience;
• To ensure network and service security and prevent fraudulent activity;
• To comply with legal obligations and the Google Play platform requirements.

4. Third-Party Services

Translo relies on the following third-party service providers to operate. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy:

• Google Translate API — processes the text you submit for translation. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Speech Recognition — converts your spoken input to text for voice and dialogue translation.
• Android System Text-to-Speech (TTS) — reads translated text aloud on your device.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the service providers above, strictly to deliver the features you request.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

Your translation history and bookmarks are stored locally on your device using Android's private storage (SharedPreferences). This data is not uploaded to our servers and remains under your control — you can delete individual records or clear all data at any time within the App.

5.2 Transmission Security

All data sent to third-party translation and speech services is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections using industry-standard security measures.

5.3 Data Retention

Translation text submitted for processing is retained by the respective service providers only as necessary to provide the service. We do not maintain a separate server-side copy of your translations.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access & Correction: You can view and edit your data through the App's History and Collection features.
• Deletion: You can delete individual translation records or clear all local data at any time from within the App.
• Permission Control: You may revoke microphone or notification permissions at any time via your device Settings. Note that revoking microphone access will disable voice features.
• Data Portability: Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

7. Children's Privacy

Translo is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below, and we will take steps to delete such information from our systems.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through in-App notices or by updating the "Last Updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the Application after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
